Who we are

The Ella Baker School is a Pre-K to grade 8 school located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Our community is committed to discovering each child’s voice. We develop our emergent curriculum using the voices of children as our foundation. We help children to connect and explore their ideas in a deeper, more meaningful way while immersed in the skills of inquiry and problem solving.
